The body of a little boy has been found in the SUV owned by Jason Hudson, Jennifer’s brother.  This is very unfortunated and my heart goes out to the Hudson family.  Right now they are in need of prayer.  While we here at Love Lies and Music strive to keep everyone up-to-date on the latestest happenings we also respect the artists that we cover and at this time will stop reporting on this incident out of respect for the Hudson family.  I pray that God gives them the strength needed to get through this time of crisis and hopefully they’ll be able to close this case with a solid arrest.  As we all know Julia Hudson’s estranged husband has been taken into custody but no charges have been filed against him.  SMH…

Ok so I just got a call from a really close friend of mine asking me if Jennifer Hudson was shot and killed.  I immediately got to searching for info on this.  Come to find out Jennifer Hudson’s mother and brother were both shot and killed.  It’s also reported that her nephew was taken from the scene.  This is crazy!…and I thought Philly was bad…SMH.  Read the TMZ report below:

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ Jennifer Hudson’s mother was one of two victims shot and killed in Chicago earlier today.A neighbor tells TMZ the other victim was Jennifer’s brother Jason. A cousin who lived nearby discovered the bodies.

We’re told the two bodies were found dead on the scene at 2:44 PM. When the fire department arrived and discovered the bodies, police were brought in and the home was declared a crime scene.

A call to Hudson’s rep was not immediately returned.

UPDATE 6:40 PM: An all points bulletin has been issued for Hudson’s 7-year-old nephew (pictured below) who may have been taken from the scene. Police are looking for 1994 white Suburban with the license plate X584859.

Jennifer Hudson and boyfriend, David “Punk” Otunga, have gotten engaged, her rep tells PEOPLE exclusively.

“I can confirm that Jennifer got engaged to her boyfriend David on Friday night in L.A.” says the rep.

“Punk” from the show I Love New York 2, popped the question with a Neil Lane diamond ring on Jennifer’s 27th birthday.

The couple, who have been dating less than a year, both hail from Chicago.

Professionally, it is a busy time for Hudson as well. Her debut solo album, Jennifer Hudson, will be in stores Sept. 30, and her next film, The Secret Life of Bees opens on Oct. 17.

Wow!  J. Hud and Punk?!  He’s too girly looking for my taste.  That was quick!  Wasn’t she will her last dude for almost 10 years.  I remember when Dreamgirls was just released and Jennifer Hudson was an interview with someone…(sorry I forget who it was) but she stated that she was with her man for almost ten years and that he’s been with her through everything…he was her best friend…yada yada yada and that they were going to get married.  Guess not.  I feel bad for homeboy.  Sorry.  Tell me what you think.  Punk though?  For real?
