I’m sure most of you have heard of the 80/20 rule by now.  Basically what it means is that men and women have 80% of what they want at home and the other 20% is found in someone else.  It doesn’t matter if its found in a jumpoff, a friend, a coworker…etc…the mission here is to find what you’re missing at home. 

When it comes to the 80/20 rule you have to be willing to do some thangs to satisfy your partner.  If not you can bet they are being satisfied somewhere else or are truly unhappy in  the relationship.  A lot times we go into the relationship with the wrong mindset.  We say things like, “this is who I am,”  “you’re trying to change me,” and ”i’m not doing THAT!”  Wrong mindset people.  We’re all adults and must act accordingly.  If you know that your man likes to see you in heels and small panties then greet him in heels and small panties every once in a while.  Men if you know that it would make her day and a bunch of other people jealous to send flowers to her job then dammit send her some flowers sometimes.  Is that too much to ask?  I didn’t think so.  It’s about a little compromise and making each other happy.  It’s not all about sex either.  If that’s too much to ask then you might as well call it quits because your relationship will never be 100%.  What do you think about the 80/20 rule?

Can we really be in love with two people at the same time?

I don’t think so.  I think you can love someone and really like someone else.  I think you can love someone and lust after another.  I also think you can be in love with someone and love someone else.  But to be in love with two people at the same time seems virtually impossible to me.  When you love someone you give them your all.  How can you share yourself with those two people equally?  It just doesn’t seem right.  I have a ton of questions.  A big one for me is knowing when you’re in love.  I ask people this question all the time.  How do you know when you’re in Love?  What tells you?  Is it a feeling inside that let’s you know?  Is it something you do that tells you?  What is the indicator that let’s you know you have fallen for a certain someone?  Furthermore, when do you start to realize that you are moving past the “like you” stage?  Does it matter how long you’ve been with the person?  Does it matter whether or not you’ve had sex a couple of times?  I know my friends over at  Truth Merchants believe this to be so. I could go on and on about this topic.  You know LOVE is my thing!  In love with two people at the same time…no.  Lusting after one and loving the other…yeah.   Let’s talk people!

It’s Friday people and once again I have question for you…

I wanna know why people continue sleeping with their ex!  I’m sure we’ve all been guilty of this.  But I wanna know why you do it.   Especially when it’s a situation where you’ve been done wrong.  You’ve been hurt time and time again.  He/she has cheated on you…used and abused you but yet and still you continue to give them the best of you.  Is it because deep down inside you still have love for them?  Was it just that good?  You’re trying to keep down the number of sexual partners so you’re recycling them…lol?  WHY PEOPLE?  Just a question.  I know why I have in the past but I wanna hear from you!  Let’s talk! 

I have to say that I love Neyo’s “She Got Her Own”.  It’s the tone of his voice, his mannerisms..umph!  Anyway…

I hear a lot of men talk about how chicks don’t want a dude that ain’t ballin’.  That most women want a man already established and already together.  Not true for all women.  While a lot of women may feel that way…a lot of us don’t.  I for one have never been concerned about how much money you have.  Let’s be clear though…you have to be working, bringing in some type of income.  You have to have goals you are trying to achieve.  You know?…DOING SOMETHING.  I have no problem being with a man who is striving for better.  I’m not looking for perfection.  We all know there is no such thing.  I actually enjoy being there and watching you make your dreams come true, achieving goals and reaching new heights.  If I can in any way be a part of that it’s my pleasure.  But let’s speak on the double standard here.  While men expect women to be down for them when they are down, a women expecting her man to hold her down while she’s down is frowned upon and looked at as a “gold digger.”  Not fair.  I hate double standards but they do exist.  So…

When I’m going through hard times can you hold me down? 

If you have to pay for dinner and a movie tonight does that make me “dependent” upon you?

If we just so happen to go on vacation on your dime does that make me a gold digger? 

Lately there have been a lot of talk about the “Independent” woman.  Where’s the love for the woman who’s having a rough time right now?  I’m just saying…

The difference between a gold digger and someone going through financial hardships is that when she “got it” she doesn’t mind spending her money on you.  The favor has to be reciprocated.  I’m all for working together and helping each other out.  Ladies…fellas…how do you feel about this issue?
