Barack Obama has asked that Jennifer Hudson sing the national anthem at his Democratic Nomination Acception.  He couldn’t have anyone better in my eyes.  She has a powerful voice and I’m sure she’ll bring the house down with her vocals!  Kudos to Obama for making such a good choice. 

And while we’re at it…I just want to encourage everyone to go out and vote.  Our time is now.  Who knows when we’ll have this opportunity again.  My little sister asked me last night what the slogan “Vote or Die” meant.  My response was this:  We need everyone that can vote to vote.  Every vote counts.  If you are registered and able to vote and you don’t vote then you might as well be dead.  You can’t complain, you can’t expect change, you can’t expect better healthcare, you can’t expect better jobs, you can’t expect better school systems, you can’t expect better work ready programs, more assistance…nothing.  You might as well be dead.  Your vote didn’t count because you didn’t give one.  So please people…let’s make it our business to vote like we make it our business to download the latest Weezy tracks off limewire!
